Irma F. Bolz, 97 of 635 Court St., Chilton, died on Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, at her home in Chilton.

Irma was born April 5, 1901 in St. Nazianz, daughter of the late August and Anna (Casper) Brunmeier. Before her marriage to Michael J. Bolz on Oct. 30, 1922, she worked in St. Nazianz as a dental assistant for Dr. Bast. Michael preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1986. She and her husband owned and operated the Bolz Automotive Dealership in Chilton until 1965.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton, the Christian Mother Society, the Daughters of Isabella and the Ledge View Nature Center. Irma was active in environmental causes all her life. She especially enjoyed gardening and needle work.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Bolz of Chilton; Dolores (Ernest) Kuster of Portage; and a sister, Eva Lettenberger of Milwaukee. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Arno Brunmeier, and a sister, Irene Patten. Irma will be remembers lovingly by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton, with the Rev. Gary New, S.D.S., officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services. Private entombment services will be at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Weiting Funeral Home in Chilton is assisting the family.

Memorials may be made to the Calumet County Home Health Care Agency. The family would like to thank the staff of the Calumet Medical Center, Dr. Michael Hetzner, Appleton Medical Center, Dr. David Duppler and the Calumet Medical Center, Dr. Michael Hetzner, Appleton Medical Center, Dr. David Duppler and the Calumet County Home Health Care Agency for all of the loving care that was given to Irma.
Though her smile is gone forever and her hands we cannot touch, we have so many memories of our mother we loved so very much.
