On one Family Tree, on Archives, it has William's parents listed as John Cronwell (Born March 1866) and Hannah H Cronwell (Born December 1870), born in Sweden. My mother always said she was Swedish, so there is a possible connection. However, John would have been about age 8 and Hannah age 4 when William was born. So it is more likely he is John's brother, friend or other family member. Or Hannah's family. William may have for some reason changed his last name to Bethune or it was always Bethune. I'm not able to verify any of this yet.
