He is found on 1880, 1900, and 1910 Census records living in Campbell COunty, Kentucky.
He married Viola about 1889. Family of Thomas George and Viola and daughters is found on 1900 census records living in Campbell County, Kentucky. George shows as still there on 1910 Census but living as a "roomer" in same household with his mother. Wife and daughters are not with him though census listed him as "married". He died of Tuberculosis in 1910 in Kentucky. There is a death record for a George Pogue age 49 in Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky who died 1 May 1910 and a cemetery index for Wesleyan Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio (across the river from Kentucky?) listing George Pogue age 49 buried there 3 May 1910.
His wife Viola and daughters may have already moved to California shortly before George's death. She is showing on the 1920 Census as "widowed, head of house" with daughters living in Los Angeles and later Orange County, California. Viola and two of their daughters Clarine Jeanette & Kathryn Pogue are buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California. No evidence he ever went with them to California where Viola apparently had other relatives and lived out her remaining years as a widow.
His mother Catherine Brown Pogue who died in 1915 is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky where she was living as a widow at time of death.
