Survivor of the sinking of the British ocean liner Lusitania on May 7 1915. Cliff and his younger brother Leslie, who was also on board the Lusitania, were awarded medals for assisting in the rescue of the passengers from the rapidly sinking Lusitania. Morton was on active duty as a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy when he died at the land based H.M.S. Asbury facility.
