Sandra Gywin Cornwell, age 77 of Bluefield, WV passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at her home. She was born February 22, 1938 at Winding Gulf, WV and was a daughter of the late Harry Tucker Nipper and Beatrice Lucille Lewis Nipper. Before retiring, Mrs. Cornwell was employed by the former St. Luke’s Hospital in Bluefield, WV as a Medical Records Technician. She loved working in her flower gardens and listening to music. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eugene Cornwell; her son, Harry Ralph Cornwell; two sisters, Betty Ferris and Wanda Weaver; one brother, Dennis Lee Nipper.
Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Rhonda Lynn Wimmer and husband, Philip of Tazewell, VA; six grandchildren; seven great – grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive.
Graveside Funeral Services for Sandra Gywin Cornwell will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Bluefield, VA with Pastor Chris White officiating. Burial will immediately follow the graveside service.
There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
