Actress. A stunning, perky blonde, she was often cast in light, comedic roles on British TV, films and stage. Her father was a physician, her mother had an association with the entertainment industry as a make-up artist for Max Factor, Claire marked her stage debut at the age of thirteen in a production of "The Refusal" in 1954. This was followed by an engagement in the play "The Darling Buds of May" on London's West End. She caught the attention of a photographer which led to her film debut playing a harem girl in "I Only Arsked!" (1958). She went on to appear in the pictures "Wild for Kicks" (1960), "And Women Shall Weep" (1960), "Great Catherine" (1968) and "The Dirtiest Girl I Ever Met" (1970). She received the distinction as being the first British actress to appear fully nude on stage, when she accomplished this feat in a production of "The Three Musketeers" in 1966. Her sex appeal earned her the cover of the British male magazine "Parade" during the 1960s. She was married to British writer William Donaldson. She died from a brain tumor.
