Albert W. Amstien, 56, who has resided during the past five years with his family in a cottage on the Kankakee river died suddenly after suffering a heart attack at about 8 o’clock Wednesday as he was chopping wood at the rear of his home.
Mr. Amstien and his family moved to the river cottage from Chicago in 1941. He is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, Albert of Chicago and Robert at home, and two daughters, Lois at home and Dorothy.
The remains were taken Thursday afternoon to the Hienen Chapel at 70th and Racine, Chicago. Funeral services will be held Saturday and burial will be in St. Marie cemetery, Evergreen Park.
