Musician. A bassist, he was best known for his work with the Swedish music ensemble "ABBA". He studied the guitar at Stockholm's Royal College of Music and during this period, he auditioned for the folk group "Hootenany Singers". He made an immediate impression on the band members and was hired on the spot to be their bass player. They later changed their name to "ABBA". Gunnarsson would go on to play on the majority of "ABBA's" studio and live recordings. His reputation as a fine and accomplished musician led to opportunities with many other artists including Elton John and Celine Dion.
