Alma M. Brungardt, 86, Independence, MO, passed away Friday, September 24, 2004, at Hidden Lake Care Center in Raytown, MO.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Monday, September 27 at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO, with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in her name to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 100, Kansas City, MO, 64114-9808.
Alma was born on March 25, 1918, in Seneca, Kansas.
She was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Herbers) Boeding.
Alma worked for 40 years at International Multifoods and Archer Daniels Milling, retiring in 1991. She was an avid bowler, and served as the Treasurer of her league in 1972, and for the next 16 years. She was inducted into the Missouri National Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a member of the 1918 Club, and was a volunteer at St. Joseph Health Center.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Greg and Kenneth Boeding, and sister Mary Ann Melchior.
She is survived by three brothers, Ambrose Boeding, Placerville, CA, Raymond Boeding, Los Angeles, CA, and Francis Boeding, Kansas City, MO, and brother-in-law Richard Melchior, Kansas City, MO; 11 nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
