Bartley ZumBrunnen, 68, Los Angeles, Dies
Bartley ZumBrunnen, about 66, native of Monroe, died Feb.5 at his home in Los Angeles, according to information received today by local relatives. Mr.ZumBrunnen was a cousin of Adam Marty, the late Casper ZumBrunnen and Miss Clara ZumBrunnen and Mrs. Helen Rote, Monroe, and Mrs. Kate Stauffer, Monticello.
He was born in this area, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin ZumBrunnen and grew to manhood on the Teuscher farm, eight miles north of the city. He married Bertha Baumgartner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Baumgartner, and 40 years ago they moved to California. Some years after her death, he married Annabel Reinmann of Chicago. Both Mr. and Mrs. ZumBrunnen made annual trips to Monroe and this area to visit relatives.
The widow survives. There are no children.
