Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Sparkman-Holtz-Brand Funeral Chapel in Dallas for Mrs. Kate Chapman, pioneer resident of Ennis, who died Friday at her home in Dallas. Interment was made in Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis.
Mrs. Chapman moved to Dallas about 30 years ago where she had been quite active in church work in the East Dallas Christian Church and its auxiliaries, having united with that church the Sunday following her arrival in Dallas.
Mrs. Chapman, formerly Kate Cornwell, was born in Kentucky and moved to Ennis when she was quite young. She was married there to Joseph M. Chapmen, real estate dealer, who died in Dallas about 15 years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Williams, and a grandson, Robert Williams, Jr., both of Dallas.
