OVINGTON, Margaret Ruth "Peg". passed away on June 9, 2006. She was born on January 23, 1911 in St Clair, Michigan and was orphaned as a very young girl. She was adopted by William and Ettia Moore when still quite young from an orphanage, and was raised by them. Peg was a multi-talented person that developed many skills along the path of life, an accomplished Mother, seamstress, bowler, baker, cook, artist, ceramic teacher, and creator. Among those other things the love of antique dolls brought her to collecting and the business of buying, selling and authentically dressing many antique dolls for other collectors from "The Shop" as she called it. Her Husband "Kes" repaired and restored many dolls from that little shop, that they called "Ovington's Doll Land" located at their home in Palmdale next to the garage. Peg is survived by her husband, Earle K. "Kes" Ovington, and her children, Lyle Boehm, Cushing, Ok, Janice Jamison, Tx, Lynn Story, Palmdale, Ca. She was preceded in death by her Daughter Jerri Devine. Also survived by step-daughter Joy Wilson, of Ohio. She also has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. There will be a Memorial service held for Peg at the LDS Church at 3140 West Avenue K in Lancaster, tentatively scheduled for 24th of June at 10:00 a.m.
