Alfred J. “Bud” Neybert Jr., age 59, of Gamaliel, AR, formerly of Chicago, IL, husband of Beth, nee Broughton; father of David (Callie), Phillip, James, Julie (Robert) Sould, Kim (Michael) Rzab and Marcia (Steven) Talmontas; grandfather of nine and brother of Richard, Kenneth, Donald and Carolyn Schlender; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday 2 to 9 p.m. Prayer Service Monday, 8:30 a.m., from the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, to St. Christina Church, 110th and Christiana, Chicago, for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hospice of the Ozarks or to the Denver Roller Radiation Therapy Center both in Mountain Home, AR 72653.

Alfred J. Neybert Jr. visitation set for today

Visitation for Alfred J. Neybert Jr. of Gamaliel will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Loyal Order of Moose service. Funeral burial will be at Blue Island, Ill.

Mr. Neybert died Thursday (Sept. 7, 1989) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. He was 59. He was a retired retail hardware store owner who moved to Gamaliel from Chicago in 1980.

Born Jan. 15, 1930, at Chicago, he was a son of Alfred J. Neybert Sr. and Elizabeth Gradle Neybert. He married the former Beth Broughton on Feb. 13, 1965, at Harvey, Ill. Mrs. Neybert survives.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and St. Peter the Fisherman Church. He served in the Air Force in Korea.

Other survivors include three sons, David Neybert of Lemont, Ill., Philip Neybert of Hickory Hills, Ill., and James Neybert of Van Nuys, Calif.; three daughters, Julie Neybert of Hickory Hills, Ill., Kim Rzab of Crete, Ill., and Marcia Talmontas of Beecher, Ill.; three brothers, Richard Neybert of Monroe, N.C., Kenneth Neybert of Las Vegas, Nev., and Donald Neybert of Palos Heights, Ill.; one sisters, Carolyn Schlender of Alsip, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
