Jacqueline Bonita Scheidel, age 64, passed away May 21, 2015. She was born on February 27, 1951, to Carol 'Rusty' and Mildred 'Mitzi' Norris in Sacramento, California.
She graduated Buena Vista College in 1973. She married her husband of 42 years on April 14, 1973. Jacqueline 'Jackie' was employed as a Registered Nurse for a doctor's office and hospital and as the School Nurse for 22 years in Storm Lake and Oskaloosa, Iowa and also worked as a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner for the last 15 years. Mother to Gretchen Scheidel and Tony Scheidel, Mother-in-law to Carrie Scheidel and Carrie Scheidel, Grandmother to Isabelle 'Izzy', age 9, and Liam, age 8. Jackie's passions included helping other people, volunteering, spending time with family and walking the peaceful beach. She will always be remembered for her devotion to bringing people together and making others 'her' family, planning family gatherings so that everyone stayed connected.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Priscilla Gaumer.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Gretchen (Carrie) Scheidel; Son, Anthony 'Tony' (Carrie) Scheidel; siblings, Linda Underwood, Barbara Baldwin, Wayne Norris; grandchildren, Isabelle 'Izzy' Scheidel, Liam Scheidel.
Visitation will be held with a Rosary to be recited at Saint Andrew by the Sea Catholic Church, 14238 Encantada Avenue, Corpus Christi, Texas 78418. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Andrew by the Sea Catholic Church. Burial will be private. Pallbearers will be Anthony 'Tony' Scheidel, Jim Timmerman, Joe Smith, and Trevor Smith.
