Bernice Rachael Wood, 68, of Waynesburg R.D. 1, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 23, 1978, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital from an apparent coronary occlusion.
She was born June 24, 1909, in Washington Township near Ruff Creek, the daughter of the late James and Flora Morris Muckle.
She lived all her life in the Ruff Creek vicinity and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, whom she married September 28, 1935; one daughter, one son, nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one brother.
