Jerry Doyle Anderson, 68, of Powell, Tennessee passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. while vacationing in Cashiers, NC. ~ Jerry was a graduate of Powell High School. He was a contractor and journeyman carpenter for approximately thirty years of his career followed by fifteen years as a residential construction technology instructor at Anderson County Career and Technical Center in Clinton. Jerry retired from Anderson County Schools in 2009. ~ Jerry was also an active member of Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church of Clinton. He loved his family more than life itself. He was an avid deer hunter and bowled in two different leagues. Jerry was happiest praising The Lord and involved in outdoor activities with his family. ~ Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Anderson and mother, Darlene Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Anderson; son, Allen Russell, and wife, Tiffany; his father, Edward Anderson; sister, Carolyn Shular and husband, Lynn; nieces, Patty Lankford, and Cheryl Shular; and Ell Sheckles and wife, Holly, all of Powell. ~ Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
