Walter Suchanek was a music teacher and High School Band Director for High Schools in Ohio and West Virginia. On July 21, 1939 in Niles, Ohio he married Mildred Elizabeth Whittaker who preceded him in death on June 28, 1981. He was the father of Barbara Lee Suchanek and Nancy Louise (Suchanek) McMillian. He was the grandfather of four children and great grandfather to three children with numerous nieces and nephews. He was the husband of Mildred Elizabeth (Whittaker) Suchanek.
