Was a Dayan in Nitra, Slovakia and a Posek in Hungary. He was close to Harav Yoel Teitlebaum and was a chavrusa to him for awhile. After losing most of his family al Kiddush HaShem in Churban Europa he came to the US and settled in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He reconnected with the Rebbe who advised him to move to one of the other areas in Brooklyn to spread Yiddishkeit. In 1952 he settled in the Flatbush/Midwood section of Brooklyn where he founded the K'hal Hisachdus Yereim Veretzky kehillah.
