Conrad Harold Stieber passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2014, surrounded by his loving family in Dos Palos, California at his daughter, Karoline Waggle's home. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on Dec. 10, 1931 and lived in Santa Cruz and Los Gatos, CA and most recently lived in Salem, OR for many years, before moving to Dos Palos, CA, to live with his daughters while receiving good care through Hinds Hospice and Provident Home Care. He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Muriel also known as Chic. He is survived by his children: Roxanna Stieber of Auberry, CA; Joanie Stieber-Crandall, of Felton, CA; Karoline Waggle of Dos Palos, CA; Ted Stieber of San Jose, CA; and Gretchen Blyss of Portland, OR and a stepdaughter Andrea of Palo Alto, CA. He also has 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Conrad was active in Keizer Elks, Marion County Food Share, The Oregon Gardens, and The Model A Auto Club. He was a talented Architect, a collector of stamps, an entrepreneur, and a retired Commander in the US Navy.

Conrad was a hard worker and self-made man. He was innovative, intelligent, free spirited with an infectious laugh, and a commanding presence; he really knew how to shake things up. He was well loved by his family and friends.

A private graveside service with full military honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
