Harry Lee Waychoff, 68, of Waynesburg, R.D. 4 (near Oak Forest) died at 11:55 p.m. Friday, June 30, 1967 in Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had not been in the best of health and had been seriously ill for the last three weeks.
He was born September 10, 1898, in Jefferson Township, a son of John Leon and Lany Reeves Waychoff.
His early life was spent in the Khedive area and for over 50 years, resided in the Oak Forest community. He was an ardent hunter and outdoorsman and was a retired employee (October, 1964) of the Manufacturers Light and Heat Company.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Stewart Waychoff, of Waynesburg, whom he married September 10, 1923; his step-mother, Mrs. Minnie Ruse Waychoff, of Waynesburg, R.D. 2; three daughters, three sons, 23 grandchildren; two sisters, and two brothers.
One daughter, Helen Ruth Booth, three sisters and five brothers, are deceased.
His oldest deceased brother, Francis M. Waychoff, was killed during World War I, one month prior to the signing of the armistice.
