Carole Lou Costello was born to entertainer Lou Costello and wife Betty, on December 23, 1938 in Providence, Rhode Island. As a young adult, she had a brief career in a few TV onscreen bit parts. Later she worked as a contestant coordinator for Game Shows for Goodsen-Todman Productions of the 1980s. Thrice married, she had children with her first two husbands Gregg Jakobson and John Timothy Koester. Her third husband Craig Martin (son of entertainer Dean Martin) she met both working in the TV industry, and remained married until Carole's death in Van Nuys, CA. on March 29, 1987, from a stroke at age 48. She was survived by her husband of Craig Martin, and her four children from previous marriages. Sadly, Carole's death came only eight days after her brother-in-law Dean Paul Martin was killed in a plane crash.
