Lee W. Wise, 70, of Waynesburg R.D. 5, died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 1986, at his home, after a lengthy illness.
He was born April 22, 1916, in Wayne Township, a son of Thomas J. and Clementine Kughn Wise.
He lived his entire life in Greene County. He was a member of Spraggs United Methodist Church.
For many years, Mr. Wise was chief of the Greene County Rescue Squad and a member of the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Company. He also was active with the Greene County Civil Defense and was a member and past president of the Hoovers Run Grange No. 482.
He was a self-employed electrical contractor, working throughout the tri-state area.
His wife, Cecyle Zimmerman Wise, died April 17, 1986.
He is survived by three daughters, a daughter by a former marriage, and 14 grandchildren.
A granddaughter, Melody, is deceased.
