CHARLES J. BOLLE
(1891 - 1969)

Charles J. Bolle Sr., 78, a former Town of Kossuth milk route trucker and town official, died Saturday morning at Manitowoc County Hospital, where he had been a patient a year and a half. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. John Haese will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bolle was born July 2, 1891, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Charles and Gertrude Brockhoff. He married Lydia Benishek Jan. 18, 1916, and they settled on a farm near Rockwood. Mr. Bolle served as the Town of Kossuth clerk for 31 years and the town treasurer for three years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 710 of Manitowoc, a 50-year member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin-Francis Creek Branch 86 and the Holy Name Society of the church. Mrs. Bolle preceded him in death April 2, 1958.

Survivors include eight sons, Carl, Berlin and Dale of Rt. 1, Whitelaw; Assemblyman Everett and Francis of Francis Creek, Robert and Llewellyn (Mex) of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, and Lovell of Mission, Tex.;three daughters, Mrs. Ludwig (Virginia) Swetlik of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, Mrs. Patrick (Barbara) Sieber of Wisconsin Rapids and Mrs. Russel (Sally) Walesh of Two Rivers; two brothers, Louis and Joseph of Antigo; three sisters, Mrs. Michael Kohler of Antigo, Mrs. Anton Rank of Monico, Wis., and Mrs. Emma Krosnicki of East Troy; 74 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday until the time of services. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home by members of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
