Author. She was the daughter of US Senator Charles B. Farwell, a founder of Lake Forest University, from which she graduated as valedictorian. Married to composer Reginald DeKoven, she was a literary editor for the "Evening Post" in Chicago. She wrote articles for many magazines and several novels. In 1913 she published a biography of John Paul Jones, and in 1926 a complete biography of her husband, and their life together, "A Musician and His Wife".
