Professional Football Player. For eight seasons (1943 to 1950), he played at the offensive and defensive end positions in the National Football League with the New York Giants, Cleveland/Los Angeles Rams, Boston Yanks, New York Bulldogs and Green Bay Packers. After playing collegiate football at Villanova University, he was selected by the Rams during the 28th round of the 1943 NFL Draft. He totaled 86 career regular season games and was a contributor to the Cleveland Rams world championship title in 1945. After retiring as a player, he remained in the sport and served as an NFL official.
