Carroll W. Blake was a theater owner and real estate operator. He came to Los Angeles in 1909 and served in World War I. His offices were in his building at 430 South Broadway and he owned the California Theater. He was living with his mother, Mrs. Frances Blake, until her death in 1942. He became engaged to Lillian E. Schramm (qv), a divorcée, and died shortly before their planned marriage.
