Griffith is best-known for his roles in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" (1994) and "The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill but Came Down a Mountain" (1995). His other feature credits include "The Farmer's Wife" (1941), "Forbidden" (1948), "Waterfront" (1950), "The Naked Truth" (1957), "A Night To Remember"(1958), "I'm All Right Jack" (1959), "Snowball" (1960), "Circus of Horrors" (1960), "The Painted Smile" (1962), "The Lion in Winter" (1968), and "The Gamblers" (1970). On television, he was noted for the 1960s series "The Prisoner". He was also a controversial documentary filmaker, best remembered for "Hang Out Your Brightest Colours: The Life and Death of Michael Collins." He died in London.
