John C. Orndoff, 81 years, of Ben Avon, formerly of Waynesburg, died Tuesday, May 29, 1957, in the Suburban General Hospital in Bellevue. He was a son of William and Eleanor Shriver Orndoff, and was born September 23, 1875, in Greene County. He had resided in Greene County all his life with the exception of the past year and a half when he had resided with his daughter, Mrs. Mary Briggs of Ben Avon. Mr. Orndoff was a member of the Claughton Methodist Chapel. His wife, Haddie Moore Orndoff, died in 1940. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Briggs, Mrs. Genevieve Garber and Mrs. Frances Ullom, all of Ben Avon; four sons, Donald Orndoff of Washington; William Orndoff of Waynesburg R.D. 3; Everett Orndoff of Waynesburg, and John K. Orndoff of Lorain, Ohio; and 10 grandchildren.
