Evelyn Dumas Brown, 91, of Malone, died Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Alice Nursing Home.

She was born in Chateaugay, New York, March 28, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Nettie Plante Dumas.

She graduated from Chateaugay High School and on September 23, 1948 she married Charles W. Brown at Notre Dame Church, Malone. He predeceased her.

Mrs. Brown was a dedicated mother and housewife.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles (Janet) of Syracuse, David of Malone, and Daniel (Kathleen) of Cadyville; two sisters, Winona Hartman of Syracuse, and Fae Witherall of Vero Beach, Florida; and six grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Marvin, Vernon, and Leonard Dumas; and three sisters, Loretta Basiliere, Juanita Derochie, and Avis Reyome LaDuke.

She will be sadly missed by family members and friends, especially those at 70 Sawyer Ave.

Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
