Laura Abell Johnston was the proud mother of 3 boys Dale, Glen, and Russell. She lived in Sitka Alaska growing up and in Petersburg Alaska for many years after her marriage to Norman Johnston. She was a lab tech and Norm was a fisheries biologist with the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game. She became a widow when Norm died suddenly at the age of 47. After that she moved to the Portland Oregon area and stayed there for the rest of her life.
