Aragon served in the Army National Guard, was employed with the Grants Police Department in the K-9 unit for eight years and was employed with the K-9 department for the New Mexcio State Police at the time of his death.
He coached the children's Little League, football and baseball. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Monica "Kim" Aragon of Grants; children, Lloyd Aragon Jr. and Audrianna Aragon; parents, Amadeo Aragon of Ilfield and Veronize Aragon of Grants; brothers, Gilbert Aragon and Matthew Lopez, both of Grants, and
Shawn Aragon of Ilfield and sister, Melinda Aragon of Grants.
Aragon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Matilda Herrera.
