Emma Louise Miller, 87, of Pensacola died Wednesday, January 17, 1996. She was born May 21, 1908 in Birmingham, Ala., the daughter of John Ulrich Weidmann and Anna Ida Brendel. She married the Rev. George L. Miller, Oct. 4, 1936 and they went to South America as missionaries for the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod; their tour of duty in Brazil lasted 18 years. Three of their five children were born there, one son, Carl is buried there. Rev. Miller passed away Dec 7, 1991.The Millers came to Pensacola in 1964; Louise was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, attended Ruth Bible Study Circle, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, West Pensacola Chapter 3564 of AARP, Funeral and Memorial Society of Pensacola and West Florida, and clerked at local polling places in Warrington for several years. Surviving are sons, Walter A. of Corpus Christi, Texas and James L. of Newport Beach, Calif.; daughters, Ruth Miller of Pensacola and Eunice M. McKinney of Hong Kong; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
