Rev. Father David Leo Brandt, former pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic church, McSherrystown, died at Georgetown, D.C., aged about 40. The deceased clergyman was a son David Brandt. Formerly of Baltimore, he was educated for the priesthood at Woodstock and Frederick Colleges. He was about thirty-three years of age when he entered the priesthood.

The first parish or congregation he served, after being ordained a priest, was in Boston, He was there only a short time when he was sent to Jersey City, where he remained for about three years, after which took charge of Holy Trinity congregation, where he remained until a few months ago, when he became ill. His illness became of such a serious nature that he was removed to Georgetown. His condition continued to grow worse until death relieved him of his sufferings.

Father Brandy is survived by a brother at Luray, and two sisters in Baltimore. The funeral took place Monday morning.

The body was buried at Georgetown.
