Michael Stabile Sr.
. Michael R. Stabile Sr., former Allegheny County jury commissioner, died of pneumonia Monday in Mercy Hospital.
. Mr. Stabile, 87, of Point Breeze, served as a Democratic jury commissioner from 1963 to 1973. He previously had worked for the county as a detective.
. Surviving are his wife. Rose Curran Stabile; three daughters, Brenda at home, Kathleen of Washington, D.C., and Mary Lou Maniero of Reedsburg, Wis.; two sons, Michael Jr. of Pittsburgh and Roger of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Nicholas of Mt. Lebanon, former county budget director; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Epiphany Catholic Church, Centre Ave., Uptown.
. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave,, Pittsburgh 15212.

SECRETLY MARRIED

Court House Nurse and County Detective Wed At South Bend

. Since August, Rose Curran, nurse in the first aid room of the courthouse, and Michael R. Stabile, county detective, have kept a secret.
. The secret was that they were married in the Little Log Chapel on the campus of Notre Dame University in South Bend, Ind.
. The nurse returned to her duties in the medical room and Mr. Stabile worked next door in the detective bureau but until now they didn't announce their marriage.
. The bride is a graduate of Mercy Hospital. Her sister took vows as a nun Aug. 15 at South Bend and the detective and nurse there for the ceremony, took wedding vows the next day. Mrs. Stabile is to resign her position during the holidays. She and Mr. Stabile will make their home in Mt. Lebanon.
