Johns parents were John Patrick Sage (alias Rodgers) and Ida Nellie Lietzo. After John married Amelia Wehrle they lived in Chicago IL where John sold cars. During the depression years they moved to Wisconsin where t hey bought and operated a Resort. They eventually moved back to Chicago w here John dealt with commercial Real Estate. He did investigative work o n property with back taxes. He would buy the property and resell it. Jo hn had discouraged his wife from working outside their home, saying he w anted her to be a wife, homemaker and Mother. Amelia and John retired t o a home in Palm Beach Shores Florida. They had four children. John was t he son of John Rodgers born 1868 and died 1927, and Minnie Sage born 18 71 and died 1951.
