Living at 1010 West Greenwood, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, she was 77 years old and a widow when she died of a cerebral hemorrhage on May 26, 1940 at Madison Sanitarium & Hospital where she had been for two days. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison [city, not county].
