Sherry A. Jahnke, age 67, of 3014 South 10th Street, Manitowoc died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at her residence.
The former Sherry Ann Marshek was born on February 10, 1948 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Victor and Betty (Zeman) Marshek Sr. She attended schools in the Manitowoc area. On February 14, 1990 she was married to Glenn E. Jahnke in Manitowoc County. In the past Sherry worked at Hartman's Greenhouse in Manitowoc and enjoyed flower gardening. Sherry was a member of Melnik Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband: Glenn E. Jahnke, Manitowoc; two sons: Jeff R. Mitchel, Elm Grove and his special friend: Cathy Velasquez; Kevin D. Mitchel, Manitowoc; one step-daughter: Tamra Jahnke, Denmark; one step-son and daughter-in-law: Tim (Kerri) Jahnke, Greenleaf; five grandchildren: Kimberly; Emma; Darrin; Danielle; Grace; one brother: Vic Marshek, Jr., Hilbert; two sisters: Diane Genz, Maribel; Gerri Marshek, Brillion; 3 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law: Shirley Marshek, Maribel; Gloria Kane, Maribel; Mark (Jean) Jahnke, Maribel; special aunt and uncle: Joan (Don) Schanke, Manitowoc; two special friends: Roger Kenier and Eileen Leschke; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Victor and Betty Marshek Sr.; one brother: Tony Marshek; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ed (Linda) Jahnke; special uncle: Anton "Poppy" Marshek; one sister-in-law: Charlotte Marshek; two brothers-in-law: Larry Kane; Rodney Jahnke; special friend: Eileen Kenier.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Melnik Presbyterian Church, 12320 Melnik Road, Whitelaw, town of Kossuth. Lay Pastor Phil Kinzel (CRE) will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Following the Memorial service there will be a luncheon and fellowship in the Melnik Presbyterian Church hall. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
