On Sunday afternoon, 10th inst., Bessie, the little two years old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Bagwell, after several days of suffering, was taken from the fond embrace of parents and loving kindred, and the home was left in sadness because of the absence of the bright little face, and the innocent prattle of the sweet baby voice, so dear to father and mother, sisters and brother, who together mourn her absence from their family circle. Bessie was to each of them the joy and charm of the home but Jesus had a home prepared for her in the "Father's House" and called her to be with him, and with the saints in glory and speaks back in his word to the weeping ones saying, "of such is the kingdom of heaven."
On Monday afternoon, kind friends and neighbors gathered at the home and placed the lilly-fair little form in its baby casket and slowly proceeded to Pleasant View church where funeral rites were observed and her little body was tenderly laid to rest, while all could feel assured that her gentle spirit was "safe in the arms of Jesus."
May the bereaved parents and family find comfort in the hope of a happy meeting in the mansions of rest.
