TIERNEY, Katherine E. (Manning) Of Osterville, formerly of Bedford and Watertown, age 83 died November 13, at Harbor Point in Centerville. Born in Boston to Alfred P and Katherine F. (Kinney) Manning. Wife of the late James F. Tierney, USAF Retired. She leaves her son, James F. Tierney Jr. and her grandchildren, James and Catherine and their mother, Mary (Dillon) Tierney. Also survived by sisters Judith (Colm) Harty of Qualicum Beach, BC, Marjorie (David) White of Concord, MA and Mary E (Richard) Johnson of VT, and sister-in-law Rita (Files) Manning of FL. She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred P., RADM USCG Retired, and his wife Claire (Cote) Manning and their son, David and granddaughter, Andrea, and her brother, Joseph E. Manning. She was Aunt Chickie to 14 nieces and nephews and 14 grand nieces and nephews. Katherine leaves many cousins, godchildren, friends, former colleagues and neighbors. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 76 Wianno Ave, Osterville, MA. Burial will be private.
