THURMAN E BAKER, 77

Thurman E Baker, 77, of Clarksburg, died Sunday Sept. 20, 1987 at 6:47 p. m. at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

Baker was born July 21, 1910 in Grant County, Ky. to Albert a and Iva Hammons Baker. a former resident of Clarksburg and Andersonville, Baker was a retired farmer and was a member of the Clarksburg Wesleyan Church. He married Charlotte Robbins Baker June 27, 1931, and she survives him.

Other survivors include four sons, David Baker, East Moline, Illinois, Marion Baker, Santa Barbara, California, Gerald Baker, Anaheim, California, and Irvin Baker, Andersonville; three daughters, Esther Emerson, Rushville, Mrs. Larry (Janet) Feightner, near Princeton, and Mrs Harlan (Jeannie) Cox, Clarksburg; three brothers, Hobert Baker, Clarksburg, William Baker, Buena Vista, and Herschell Baker, Endicott, Washington; seven sisters, Lula Burris, Buena Vista, Frances Greer, Andersonville, Mrs. George (Virginia) Rowe, Glenwood, Mrs. Laura Hutson, Connersville, Mrs. Edmond (Jean) Chaney, Connersville, Mrs. Donald (Joann) Seely, Hamilton, Ohio, and Mrs. Robert (Flora) Gabbard, Clarksburg; 15 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Moster and Cox Mortuary, Rushville, with Hernan Linn officiating. Burial will be at the Hopewell Cemetery, Rush County.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
