Hungarian Prime Minister. Born in Dubník, Slovakia, he was a politician in the cabinet of Hungary President Károlyi. When the French presented the Vix Note ordering Hungarian troops further back into Hungary, in early 1919, Berinkey was unwilling to accept the military lines endangered the country's territorial integrity. As a result, Berinkey was appointed the 2nd Prime Minister, serving two months January to March, 1919 and the new government proclaimed the Hungarian Soviet Republic.
