Funeral service for Ethel Ruth ( Clark ) Dishman 99, of Gainesville are set for Wednesday August 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Geo. J. Carroll and Son Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Baldwin and Kenneth Skinner officiating with burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 19, 2015 from 9:00 til 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Ethel passed away on August 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Ethel was born on April 1, 1916 in Kaufman, Tx to Naomi (Toland) Clark and Robert Younger Clark. Her family moved to Gainesville when she was a young girl. She cherished her family and friends that she made through out her long life in Gainesville. She was a life time member of the First Baptist Church and was very active until she was unable to attend. Ethel was a Nutritionist from North Texas University, where she received her certification and worked many years for The GISD as a cook. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of Railroad Trainmen and served as Secretary /Treasurer for many years.

Ethel was a loving mother and wife and loved working in her yard, cooking, sewing and making most of the children's clothes, making doll clothes for her dolls, quilts including the one made from her late mothers handkerchiefs.On cold mornings ( before central heat ) she would hang her children's socks on the oven door while they were getting ready for school. She was always doing " special things " for her family. She was an avid doll collector and could spend hours looking at doll magazines, she enjoyed going to doll shows in the area and had many fabulous dolls and turned one room into her " Doll Museum "

Ethel is survived by her children Clark Dishman Sr. of Gainesville, Delwyn " Dee " Dishman and his wife Maria of Waxahachie, Tx, Claudia Moore and her husband Bill of Corinth and Rhonda Pulte and her husband Joe of Gainesville., 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and she was known as " Mama Dish ".

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Claud Dishman, her parents, son Gary Dishman, siblings Jesse Clark, Lewis Clark, Katherine Reed, Mildred Dishman and Anita Martin.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Clark Dishman Jr., Scott Dishman, Robby Dishman, Kent Moore, Brad Moore, Chris Pulte and Riley Pulte.
