He was born in Mayo and came here in 1952 from Lakeland. He worked as a street superintendent for the city of Clearwater and was a member of First Baptist Church of Ozona-Palm Harbor, Ozona.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dovie; two brothers, Joe, Clearwater, and John T., Lake City; and a sister, Edna Peters, Palm Harbor.
