Actress. Kashfi, who had a brief acting career in the 1950s, will best be remembered for her marriage to actor Marlon Brando. She began her film career in 1956, appearing in 'The Mountain' alongside Spencer Tracy and Robert Wagner. In 1957, she co-starred with Rock Hudson in 'Battle Hymn' (1957) followed by her role in 'Cowboy' (1958) with Glenn Ford and Jack Lemmon. Her final film was 'Night of the Quarter Moon' (1959), where she played the wife of singer Nat King Cole. During the summer of 1956, she met Brando who she dated on and off until the couple married on October 11, 1957. They had a son, Christian in 1958, before they divorced a year and a half later on April 22, 1959. The couple fought bitterly over their son, with Marlon eventually winning custody. She made a few television appearances on shows such as 'Adventures in Paradise', 'The Deputy' and 'Bronco' before quitting acting, reportedly due to an addiction to drugs and alcohol. In 1980, she penned a memoir 'Brando For Breakfast' about her relationship with her former husband.
