MONONA — Jerome I. Maier, age 58, of Monona, died Tuesday, May 23, 1989 at a local hospital. He was born on June 8, 1930 in Martinsville, Wisconsin. On November 21, 1959, he married his wife Joan. He had worked for the Hammersly Stone Company for 30 years. He waa a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Joan of Monona; a son David of Monona; a daughter Judith of Madison; six brothers Norbert of Waunakee, Joseph of Florida, Harold of Madison, Elmer of Rio, Edwin of Cross Plains, and John of Cross Plains; three sisters Mrs. Louis C. (Marion) Block of Madison, Elizabeth of Cross Plains, and Mrs. Valentine (Rose) Ballweg of Prairie du Sac; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John J. Maier and Rose F. Maier. Funeral services will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield Street, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 1989, with Father Robert Gille officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
