Helen Louise Dettmer, 93, of Chapa Drive, died at 6 a.m.
Monday, August 24, 2015, at Silver Oaks Health Campus. Helen was born July 10, 1922, in Columbus, the daughter of
William and Ida Michael Meyer. She married Carl Henry Dettmer July 7, 1947. Helen was a homemaker but had worked at Reeves Pulley for the war effort. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she was active in the Sewing Circle and previously served as chairman of the Sewing Committee. She was also a member of the Tabatha Guild and Mary Martha Circle at the church and also served as a 4-H leader. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m.
Thursday, August 27, 2015, at St. Peter,s Lutheran Church
with Pastor Patrick Galligar and Larry Klebenow officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter,s Lutheran Church Care Ministry or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
