Joseph graduated from Menominee High School in 1950 where he won the UP Tennis Championship. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
On May 22, 1954, Joseph married Valerie Garbell at St. Adlebert's in Menominee. He had worked many years in the home construction and logging fields. He enjoyed hunting and gardening.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 61 years, Valerie of Marinette;
three sons: Michael, Jeffrey and Steven, all of Marinette;
two daughters: Mary Jo Edmondson of Marinette and Carol LeClaire of Little Chute, WI;
three sisters: Lorraine Bird, Rose Baierl, both of Marinette, and Arlene Davis of Waukesha, WI;
seven grandchildren: Kristi (Carl) Feger, Nikki (Anthony) Harrison, Jamie Neville, Joe and Jim Delfosse, Casey and Robbie LeClaire;
and three great-grandchildren: Makenzie, Josiah and Madalyn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanne Neville.
Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Sunday, August 16th from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Scott Ehle and Military Honors will follow. Burial will be in Tabor Cemetery in McAllister, WI
