Obituary - REBA BELLE (BEAN) PARTRIDGE - Reba Bean Partridge, age 99, formerly of Birmingham, left us and went to her Heavenly home on Friday, September 26, 2008. >> Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Chapel on Sunday, September 28, 2008. Graveside services officiated by Pastor John Mount will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery. >> She was preceded in death by her husband H. Grady Partridge; parents, Jennie Griffin and John Franklin Bean; sisters, Myra Dodson, Merla Stocks; and brothers, Garland and Frank Bean. >> Survivors include a son, Richard Partridge (Ann); and daughter, Virginia Clements (Dan); seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. >> Mrs. Partridge was born in Falkville, AL. Birmingham was her home for 75 years, Tuscaloosa for the last 5 years. She was a member of Aldersgate U.M.C. (formerly Eleventh Ave. Methodist Church). She loved and worked with little children at church, and loved the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind. >> All of her family have been very dear to her. She was a very loving mother. God has blessed her and all of us by her presence. >> The family is grateful to Sharon McCalpine for the love and special care given to our mother. We also are grateful to the staff of West Alabama Hospice. >> In lieu of flowers, memorial should be made to Aldersgate U.M.C. >> Ridout's Elmwood Chapel directing.
