Funeral services were held Saturday, September 5, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church for Shameka "Mickey" Johnson, age 40, who passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her residence in Sunset. Interment followed in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. The Rev. Derrick Weingartner, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, will officiated at the services. Shameka was a native and lifelong resident of Sunset. She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, concerts and NBA games. Survivors include her mother; her father and his wife; her companion, Joseph “Calvin”; and one daughter all of Sunset; three sisters all of Sunset; three step-sisters all of Houston, TX; her nieces and nephews; and the famiy dog, Tommy.
