Mother, New Baby Are Dead
Mrs. Norbert Anderson, 34, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon
in the delivery room at the Municipal Hospital, Two Rivers, after
giving birth to a baby daughter. The child also died.
Funeral services for mother and daughter will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday
at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theophil Uetzmann
will officiate and burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery in the town of
Kossuth.
She was born Verona Fick in 1919 in Rockland, Manitowoc County, and in
1940 was married to Norbert Anderson. They lived in Mishicot for a time
and moved to their present home north of Manitowoc in 1915.
Survivors are the husband; three daughters, (private); parents, Mr. and
Mrs. William Fick of Rt. 2, Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Anderson
and Mrs. Lawrence Anderson of Rt. 2, Manitowoc; and a stepbrother, Alvin
of Mishicot.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after
Wednesday noon. The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday.
